Is Your Message Getting Lost In The Noise?

Never Let Anyone’s Budget Dictate Your Price.

Hello, Hello and welcome to the first in our Mentoring and Coaching Blogs aimed at creatives, the career changers and the dreamers who know they can make it happen. If you're a subscriber to our free weekly newsletter this post might seem familiar as you're always first to have it dropped through your inbox several weeks in advance.

Firstly, if your side hussle has grown into your main business, or if you're ready to turn your passion into more than just a hobby, then well done! Being a SoloPreneur is exciting, fun and a real roller coaster. BUT - it's also very hard work, can be crushingly lonely and extremely stressful.

So what happens when the fun is being lost in the overwhelm, when the excitement is buried under working long hours with little reward? Well, that’s when you should take a step back and think about making some changes. There was a reason you started out on this adventure - and that’s what running a business can feel like; a crazy, wild, unpredictable adventure. But wouldn’t it be great if we could re-align at times, have just a little bit more predictability and stability to help plan the road ahead?

Last week saw the start of our Mentoring Sessions. It was great to chat to so many of you, and you’ve given me some amazing and very honest feedback. One of the things that came up was how do you stand out from the crowd? How do you make inroads in what looks like a saturated market-place – and that’s what I’ll be covering in the coming weeks. So firstly, let’s embrace the mind-set that competition is a good thing. In fact, it’s bloody brilliant! Competition means there’s a demand for your product. Wow! Congratulations. All you have to do is identify who needs your product. Simple!

Mmm, I can see you’re not convinced. That’s why we’re going to work on identifying your ‘Ideal Client.’ I know, I know; you’re dropping your head into your hands. I can hear your eyes rolling from here. Surely anyone who wants to hire you, buy from you and basically pay for your fabulous service is an ideal client? Well, yes, but there’s more to it.

Imagine yourself walking through a really busy street with shops, market traders, lots of traffic. People are shouting at you from all directions, so much so that it becomes white noise and you block it out. That’s often how your client feels if they’re looking for a wedding florist, a V.A., or a therapist. Now, let’s imagine the same scenario on this busy street and someone calls out your name - you’d turn around wouldn’t you? Of course you would. If someone recognises you, then surely they have something important to say. Well, that’s what happens when you target your social media posts, newsletters, Facebook ads directly to an ‘ideal client’. They tune in, because you’re offering them something that fulfils a specific need. Oooh, would you like to know more?

Well, I won’t warble on too much here – these little blogs are a taster of what’s coming up in the coming weeks and months, and how you can tap into those strategies to help you.

So please do drop me a line, it's alway fabulous to hear your thoughts and suggestions. and if you'd love to receive our free weekly newsletters it would be great to connect each week.

All the feels for this,

Theresa
